Hij is wel een dagje ouder aan het worden zeg, maar z'n spel lijdt daar niet bepaald onder

het was de ooit witte kit:

Gretsch  did that new blue finish & put all new hardware on the kit. The black hardware that was originally on it, is on another kit Vinnie had made by another company. You might be able to find a picture of Vinnie playing a purple stained kit with black hardware made by Chris Heuer. That's the original hardware from this kit.


Ik kan alleen geen foto vinden van de nieuwe Heuer kit, wel de oude met chrome hardware.

Ik snap het wel als ik dit lees:

I talked with Chris this evening. He's doing gum shells that are the old Gretsch, down to the exact millimeter of each ply (which is probably what he built for Vinnie). Also doing mahogany/poplar/mahogany layups with maple re-rings -- just like the 1940s/1950s drums.
Chris has re-done every one of Vinnie's Gretsch and Ludwig kits, so any clips you may see of him playing his "personal set", know they're not "stock off the shelf".  He said Ludwig's edges are so bad, they're like a boat floating in water when he sets them on the table.

Die Heuer kan natuurlijk niet de hele wereld over. Gretsch (DW) kunnen die support wel leveren. EN zijn oude kit met de originele Jasper shells was kennelijk toch de sound die hij zocht. Dan is een refurb en support een mooie oplossing.

Maak niet uit, we maken wel een filmpje waar hij dan heel vaak roept 'wow that great gretsch sound' als ie een trommel uit de doos haalt.'

Mischien is die ouwe Gretsch van m juist wel onbewerkt om die sound. En edge's opnieuw doen, maar exact hetzelfde (alleen voor onderhoud) is in die zin ook ''not stock off the shelf'' natuurlijk.
